About Me

Thanks for visiting my page and taking the time to learn a little more about me. Below is a bit of my story, how I found my way into Learning Experience Design, and what I enjoy outside of work.

My Story

My journey into Learning Experience Design started in the classroom. I spent five years as a secondary education teacher. Some of my favorite parts of the job were finding creative ways to make learning more engaging, coaching sports, running student council, and supporting other teachers through professional development. I especially loved helping educators explore new technologies and think about fresh ways to connect with learners.

As I completed my master’s degree, I realized I wanted to keep building on the things I loved most: creativity, storytelling, learner engagement, and helping people grow. That led me into the world of Learning Experience Design, where I found a career that feels like such a natural fit. It gave me the chance to combine strategy and creativity to build learning experiences that are meaningful, relatable, and engaging.

What I love most about this work is the opportunity to create learning that truly makes a difference. I enjoy taking complex information and turning it into something clear, practical, and useful, while still making it feel human and engaging. I’m a storyteller at heart, and I love designing learning experiences that encourage growth, build confidence, and create positive change. If you know Harry Potter, I’m definitely a Ravenclaw: curious, creative, and always excited to learn something new.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband, stepson, and our chocolate lab. I’m happiest when I’m hosting family gatherings, working out, taking early morning walks with my dog, practicing my digital illustration skills, or relaxing with a good book.
